FAST-PASS 7 Visitor Management Features

In response to our current landscape, our new version of FAST-PASS 7 is a major release written from the ground up with new technologies that provide a solid foundation for addressing industry compliance and security concerns. Additionally, this new platform provides greater flexibility and feasibility for implementing future requests and thus provide better technical support. The FAST-PASS 7 VMS is architected with a fully relational database that runs on Microsoft SQL Server as the core engine to store all data with best-in-class performance and a reliable secured format. Hence you can rest assure that FAST-PASS 7 is capable and scalable to expand as your requirements evolve over the ensuing years.

The first impression that will become noticeable is that the new interface is rendered in the form of a web application. The implementation of new web technologies will make the navigation will feel more like a native desktop application. This means that every detail has been redesigned using current frameworks with principles in mind for designing a modern-day graphical user interface. Therefore, as a result FAST-PASS 7 does not require any client-side plugins (e.g., Active-X, Adobe Flash, or Microsoft Silverlight) to bring functionality to the web pages. Moreover, the new user interface considers usability and functionality to effectively display information. For example, close attention was considered when selecting primary and accent colors and ensuring the selection of web-safe fonts so that they would render correctly with modern browsers. These noticeable visual refinements will allow users and their intuition to gracefully navigate the new FAST-PASS 7. Below you will find some of the FAST-PASS 7 Visitor Management Features available.

FAST-PASS 7 Features

Active Directory

The FAST-PASS 7 Active Directory module provides integration with a “Pull” mechanism to retrieve users from a Microsoft Active Directory catalog into the FAST-PASS 7 system.

Activity Tracking

Uniquely identify the source of activity (e.g., Entry, Exit, Print Pass, etc...) from a unit workstation with a date\time stamp to run audit log reports.

Associated Person

A visitor may have a person, or more than one, that accompanies them during a visit. The FAST-PASS 7 system can print pass(es) to help identify the Associated Person(s).

Badge Designer

Word processing functionality to design and edit printable passes that will help identify a visitor's purpose within a facility. To get started, several templates are included for contractors, employees, and visitors.

Capture Live Photo

Connect USB camera to capture a live photo of a person and update as needed on subsequent visits.

Custom Fields

To accommodate a myriad of possibilities, custom fields can be created to collect data for fields not provided in the original database while maintaining the database schema integrity.

Database Scalability

The FAST-PASS 7 system stores all the data in a relational database designed to run on the Microsoft SQL Server engine to deliver performance, scalability, and security features.

Deny Entry

The system may optionally check against a list of “persona non grata”, and when a match is found, the system can make the user aware so they can follow standard operating procedures, and automatically send various notifications.

Document Parsing

Parse Government issued documents like State Driver’s license and Passports to expidite data collection and deliver accurate reports.

Emergency Messages

In the event of an emergency or urgent event, the FAST-PASS 7 system includes a feature to send messages to other ALL other Units (i.e., Computers running Registration).

Encrypted Data Transfer

All data is transferred over TCP/IP using HTTPS/2 over port 443 with Transport Layer Security ("TLS") 1.2 and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL).

The FAST-PASS 7 system is primarily designed to account, credential, and track a person and their respective Group. These groupings establish a reference point from where the system can proceed to apply logic based on predefined parameters.

HL7 Integration

The FAST-PASS 7 system is able to read Health Level Seven ("HL7") messages and parse the data into a format that can be inserted into the FAST-PASS 7 database.

Import Data

Import module is available to facilitate bulk entry into the database for organizations with large amounts of data to insert or expect to undergo constant data changes of person records.

Hosting Flexibility

Deploy Fast-PASS 7 with a Client\Server architecture On-Premise or to a Cloud Infrastructure like Microsoft Azure.

Max Concurrent Visitors

The Max Concurrent Visitor allows the Registration module to keep a tally of the visitor count for a Person to See.

Password Policy

Guard against brute-force attacks and meet security compliance rules with effective passwords that meet complexity, length, and unpredictability. Strong passwords can lower security breaches of sensitive data.

Apply to group accounts to grant and delegate access to resources so that user members of the Group can access those resources.

Enables a user (e.g., employee) to enter information about a person’s (e.g., contractor, vendor, or visitor) visit prior to their expected arrival date.

Configure the system to send notification messages after a specified activity occurs, in the form of mobile text messages, email, and a message box on each Registration client.

Includes a series of reports where you can select a subset of parameters or filters (i.e., by Group, Location, and date range) to retrieve data and focus on an area of interest, and export reports for further analysis.

Report Charts

Retrieve data and display information with statistical standard formats that include bar charts, pie charts, and histograms that will auto scale with proportionate size and color code the data to ease the analysis process.

Return Visitor

Expedite printing a pass for a person who has information already stored in the FAST-PASS 7 database from a previous visit.

User Management

A pillar of security access is the implementation of user and group accounts where each user account would have a unique credential (i.e., user name and password) to log into the system and access resources.

Watch List Search

FAST-PASS 7 provides the ability to perform a background check of the person visiting a facility against an online third party database in the form of a Watch List.

Web Application

Written with HTML 5 and other modern technologies to bring functionality and speed to web pages. FAST-PASS 7 does not require any client-side plugins (e.g., Active-X, Adobe Flash, or Microsoft Silverlight) that are both outdated and unsecured.

THE NEW FAST-PASS 7 Visitor Management System

We appreciate your interest in FAST-PASS 7. To provide context into this effort, it is worth starting with a brief historical background, the first release of FAST-PASS dates to early 2000 and it was a desktop application. Since then FAST-PASS has been installed in correctional facilities, government buildings, hospital systems, multi-tenant offices, school districts, and other organizations where hundreds, and in some cases, thousands of visitors are processed per day. Along the way to accommodate business rules and requirements, features and modules were added to extend the functionality of the system. However, since then the world has changed in so many ways, in particular with technology, regulations, and requirements coupled with a demand for intelligent systems.

Built With Enterprise Technologies.

FAST-PASS 7 has been designed with modern technologies and frameworks to be deployed in modern network Infrastructures.
